Do you accept my insurance?

Our office will gladly file an insurance claim on your behalf for treatment received in our office. We will work to maximize your insurance reimbursement for covered proceedures. We will also file a predetermination if requested. Your estimated portion of the payment is expected at the time of service. Please bring your insurance card or information with you. Please call us to discuss any of your insurance questions. We are a provider for Delta Dental and Eagles. We do not accept or file medicaid claims.

Do I need Xrays?

Dental xrays are an essential diagnostic tool that we use to help detect hidden problems or conditions. The current standard of care for frequency of xrays is for a full mouth series every 3-5 years and check-up xrays (bitewings) once a year on average. Our office takes precautions to minimize your radiation exposure. We utilize lead aprons and thyroid shields. We also have been using filmless digital radiography since 2008, which can reduce radiation exposure by as much as 90%.

When do i need to take antibiotics before my dental visit?

Preventative antibiotics are necessary for patients with artificial heart valves, history of infective bacterial endocarditis and certain congenital heart conditions. Additionally patients that have orthopedic implants or artificial joints may also need to premedicate with antibiotics.

Do you treat children?

Yes, generally your child should be seen for their first dental visit by the age of 3. Sometimes a pediatric dentist is recommended for younger children.

Why are my teeth sensitive?

There are several reasons why you may be experiences sensitivity including but not limited to; gum recession, decay, periodontal disease, fracture, defective filings, grinding and clenching. A comprehensive exam is needed to determine exact cause and treatment.

How often should I brush and floss?

Your personal home care plays an important role in maintaining a healthy mouth. It is recommended that you brush your teeth twice a day, especially before going to bed at night. Use an ADA approved soft bristle brush. Some patients may benefit from using an electric toothbrush. Daily flossing is recommended to help prevent damage to the gums, teeth and bone.
